Today I’m grateful for amazing healthcare coverage.

I never want to take the value of my healthcare for granted. There are so many people in the country (and world) that do not have healthcare for their families. I’m grateful that my employer, and my state, have made healthcare for all a priority.

We are able to get care for ourselves, and for our child, for very little cost. The cost for me to stay three days in the hospital, have surgery, and the birth of Finn was “reasonable” compared to what it could have been. We won’t be in debt for years to come due to the exemplary health coverage that comes with my employment.

As Finn received care today for his four month appointment, I was reminded how grateful I am. And how far things need to come for others to have the same type of care.
