I think looking back, the 9th-10th month time period will be one we will reflect had many, many changes.
Your snake slide turned into a full on crawl.

You move lightening fast, especially when you know we don’t want you to crawl into a certain area.
You pull yourself up so you stand on your own little feet. You love to stand, hit tables, drop things, and then pick them up.

You went to the beach for the first time which was wonderful- and in typical Pacific NW fashion, we had to bundle up.

You are not a fan of being put down for naps or bedtime. This is an ongoing struggle and the only time I see you get fussy (unless you are teething or famished). You’ve taken to falling asleep while sitting up and watching Grandma or Auntie Trish.

We learned at your 9 month appointment that you are growing well and you are no longer in the 5th percentile! You are now in the 25th percentile. This explains my increasingly achy Finn carrying muscles…

We take many pictures of you in the highchair. 1- it’s a great place to put you so I can interact with you while I cook meals, or prepare bottles. But 2- you love to eat and are happy where you can get handed food or have time to play.

Every month I become more aware that we are closer to you wanting to get dressed on your own or pick out your own clothes. So I’m trying to get in all the “Mom approved” clothing now before you start having an opinion. You rarely wear matching socks (if you wear socks at all) so please know that is always “Mom approved”.

You have become nearly impossible to change, especially at night. You roll around, squeal, try to lunge off the changing table, and do anything in opposition to our attempts. You are embracing your own agenda.

I still can not describe how much you mean to me. Even though I lived 38 plus years on my own, it seems you’ve always been a part of me. You are my little companion and you are so dearly loved by your entire family. Keep on growing little boy. But let’s enjoy every single day of growing together.

We treasure every moment we shared with you in these months, Finny….you are sooo much loved!!
