I am grateful.

2019 has had several amazing moments and also very, very, very difficult and painful moments.

But I am grateful.

I am grateful for my family who will never let me fall. I’m grateful for the way they love and support my family without fail. I cannot imagine life without their support.

I am grateful for my friends who are family. I do not take it lightly, I am so blessed.

I am grateful for old friends who still love and think of me, even when we don’t often see each other.

I’m grateful for new friends who may not know my history, but take me as I am today.

I’m grateful for Riley Pug and the love he gives.

I’m grateful for the love that filled 2018 from Milo Cat. We enter 2019 without him, but I will carry love for him with me forever.

I’m grateful for my son who bears with me every single day. He learns with me, is very patient with Momma, and has the best sense of humor I’ve ever known from a seventeen month year old.

I’m grateful to have a blog that can be used as an outlet for emotions, pain, happiness, and memories. I’m grateful for the small readership who is incredibly supportive.

I’m grateful to have known my cousin Kelli. She passed away way too young. But I’m grateful to have hugged her in 2018, I’m grateful to have loved her in my lifetime, and I’m grateful to have felt her love.

I’m grateful for the ripe ol’ age of 40. I still can’t believe I’m now 40 so I’m just going to say I’m grateful for it and hope it holds true.

I’m grateful to be alive. This year I very much struggled and had to look at the good things, the loving things, the kind people, and the friends and family who make life bearable. I’m grateful to be able to channel those things so that I can remember to breathe, and be grateful to be alive.

Happy New Year!
